Based loosely on the real life girl boss Sophia Amoruso, the half an hour episodes are fun filled & sassy yet gritty. A small insight, if not little dramatised, into the struggles of launching your own company.
Each episode starts with the prefix of "what follows is a loose retelling of true events, real loose.". I not in a position where I can judge whether Britt Robertson's characterisation of Sophia Amoruso is at all reflective of the real person as I can't say I'm overly familiar with her story but there are elements of the character you wish you were more like. On the flip side the character as a more trouble and darker side which leaves you wondering how 'loose' the representation really is. She's sassy and independent, which I mean, don't we all wish to possess said traits?
Unfortunately the series has not been commissioned for a second season, so get your fix while you can. It's available still on Netflix, so go binge your heart out! I mean what are Sundays for eh?
